"The Moonshiner's Daughter"

It took a once mostly secret ingredient from high atop the mysterious mountains of Tennessee, a little fierce dedication, and good old fashioned perseverance for Elizabeth “Liz” Parker’s dream of sharing and turning her longtime heartfelt passion into the reality that is now her thriving Tennessee Wingshine XXX operation: the growing company continuing distributing it’s numerous and in demand BBQ sauces and other fresh made products regionally, across the nation, and worldwide!

The eldest of 4, this daughter of a moonshiner spent her time in her mountain hometown of Whitwell, Tennessee learning from a young age to can vegetables and cook with her mother--- often with that ‘special ingredient’ unavailable anywhere else! As Liz grew, so did her increasingly well known personal recipe for a naturally honey-sweet sauce with her unusual blend of fresh spices, and of course, ‘just- the- right- amount’ of Shine!

One of Liz’s most defining moments, and proudest accomplishments came after graduating Hamburger University--- the McDonald’s corporate restaurant management training facility in Chicago--- one of only seven worldwide:

“With a selection rate of 1% at its Shanghai campus, the intense training programs [of Hamburger University] is more exclusive than Harvard”. ~Bloomberg Magazine

In addition to still offering her own professional catering services, Liz stays hands-on with her Tennessee Wingshine XXX business, always including her personal inspection and touch to the entire process: from the creation and preparation of the sauce to shipping details. In fact, Liz says she is eternally grateful for her Tennessee Wingshine XXX evolving into a tremendous and inclusive family business, with everyone pitching in their great and individual talents, bringing the whole clan closer than ever!

Free time for Liz and her miniature Chihuahua ‘Scrappy’ means weekends adrift on her beloved Tennessee River houseboat spending time, swimming with and happily feeding friends and family, often including any number of her 3 children and 9 grandchildren--- always enjoying catching, cleaning and grilling catfish on the back deck.
